Your body’s ability to heal far exceeds what you have been led to believe.

You are here to live a vital, energized and productive life.  Whatever symptoms you may have that prevent you from feeling energized and enthusiastic about your life can be resolved.  The majority of youth today suffer from a disrupted endocrine system which means the brain is not getting correct input and feedback to instruct your body, mind and heart to function properly.  All of your glands are the receptors to information passed on to the brain.  Today there are endless plastic, chemical and toxic influences in the food, water and air that you eat, drink and breathe.  These toxins mimic your hormones and block your natural hormone receptors to your essential glands and throw the system out of balance.  The longer this goes on the more severe the symptoms and setbacks. There are very few people of any age that are not affected by these toxins today. It is an interesting phenomenon of human behavior that, while knowing a particular activity will improve your life (like eating well, exercising, being kind, etc.); there exists simultaneously a default behavior of procrastination which prevents potential positive results.  However, the more we care about ourselves the easier it is to do what is necessary.  Good health equals happiness on all levels.

When the relationship you have with yourself suffers from neglect over time, you will see only your flaws.  The link between emotional health and physical health has only recently begun to be discussed in conventional medicineTo complicate matters more, the effect of skin problems on self-esteem is so enormous that it can define whether you are happy or not.  It not only defines whether you socialize or interact with others, it can define the actual direction your life is taking, because self-doubt and self-criticism create a stress loop that locks the problems in.  Stress causes a chemical response in your body that makes skin more sensitive and reactive and also makes it harder for skin problems to heal.  Stress causes your body to make hormones like cortisol, which tells glands in your skin to make more oil, which is more prone to acne and other skin problems.  Skin problems can become a disability that prevents your health and performance from ever reaching their full potential.

Let medicine be your food, let food be your medicine.” is a well-known quote from Aristotle, the Father of Medicine from 432 BC.  You might be more familiar with the term ‘You are what you eat’.  It is as simple as that for most of us.  Just as you would only put good gas or diesel in your vehicle to avoid expensive repairs, so also put good food in your body to avoid expensive health problems in the future.  Whether you want to believe it or not, your government, schools, and your medical establishments have approved a diet of grocery store and fast food that is so deficient in nutrition that the more you eat, the sicker, more lethargic and less creative you become.  It’s a fact; take the time and do the research yourself.  Those corporations have gone to great lengths and much propaganda to brainwash you into eating fillers, chemicals and non-foods that rob you of energy and health.

Know that at the root of any healing protocol are good food, clean water, and a healthy attitude.  You may choose to take pharmaceutical medications or vitamins and herbal supplements to deal with severe symptoms and/or deficiencies; however, if you don’t prioritize good food that fuels the body to heal, you will be spending a lot of money for the rest of your life on drugs or supplements.  They may be helpful, but the best long term solution is optimum nutrition.  Choose for yourself, and provide your body with the building blocks it requires to do its job and maintain optimum health, vitality and youthfulness.

A balanced diet and physical activity are vital to academic performance.  It has been said by many that the best six doctors you can have in your life are sunshine, water, rest, exercise, air and diet.  Never forget that over time good health is a much greater prize than wealth.  The World Health Organization states that “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”  Invest in yourself; invest in good food, good friends, good play and good health.  You deserve it!
